WAMSB INDONESIA
WORLD ASSOCIATION OF MARCHING BAND INDONESIA
WAMSB Indonesia based in Bandung, West Java is an affiliate of the World Association of Marching Bands (WAMSB) International which is based in Canada.
The formation of WAMSB Indonesia was inspired when I attended the 1997 Australian Marching Band Festival in Sydney where I first met Mr. Robert Eklund and saw a very impressive event where bands from various countries participated.
Since then I also met Mr Jimmy Wong from Malaysia who had the same idea to create the same WAMSB World Championships event in ASEAN and started with Malaysia in 2016 in Malaysia, in Thailand in 2020 and now it’s Indonesia’s turn in 2025.
